According to legend, the Mid-Autumn Festival moon cake gambling was invented by Zheng Chenggong when he was on the Gulangyu Island, it is for solving the soldiers’s homesickness on Mid-Autumn Festival and encouragement the morale. As a result, it has been passed down from generation to generation, and it has become a unique folk custom in southern Fujian.
